dead on the way with the strain? He was confident that Gandhi's blood pressure
would reach dangerous levels, his pulse race madly to keep with his
extraordinarily brisk walk. Moreover, even his horoscope had foretold that
Gandhi would die that year! Yet the 61-year-old Gandhi, striding at the head of the 78-member
march, set a blistering, punishing pace for the 24-day march and was
